This item is a medium-rare drop of the Fire Guardian . Despite being a piece of armor, it gives no protection value. It will always naturally spawn with the enchantment Soulbound I, which allows the wearer or bearer of the item to retain it even after death.
This grants the player immunity to fire and lava, an effect similar to consuming a potion of fire resistance. In addition to granting fire and lava immunity, it also gives immunity to fire damage, both from Ars Magica spells and other sources.
