The Mana Creeper is a hostile mob added by Ars Magica 2 and is similar to a vanilla Creeper. Instead of damaging terrain by exploding, it creates a vortex that sucks the player in,then drains the mana of anything near it. It has 20 health points,or 10 hearts. You are advised to kill it with a long range weapon to make sure that it does not trigger the mana-sucking vortex.

A mana creeper should always be avoided as it can drain all of the player's mana, which takes a long time to regenerate if the player does not have talents "Mana Regen I-III". This cripples the player's ability to cast any spells for a period of time which may prove to be dangerous if the player is relying on offensive spells for combat.
